Smokey lamb feta & caramelised onion patties
Ingredients
-500g lamb mince
-100g feta broken up
-1 x egg
-1 TSP salt
-1 tsp cracked pepper
-1 TBSP Lemon juice
-1 fresh crushed garlic clove
-1 x handful fresh coriander sliced finely
-1 x red onion
-1 TBSP Culleys liquid smoke
-1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
-2 TBSP Brown sugar
1-Finely slice red onion then add into a frying pan with 1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar and 2 TBSP's of brown sugar then cook on a medium heat for 10mins, Stir until the onions are caramelised.
2-Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix well with hands until all the ingredients have binded together.
3-Roll into balls roughly 100g in weight then press down flat with the palm of your hand to make a nice Pattie shape
4-Grill on a BBQ or fry pan on a medium to high heat for roughly 5 mins per side.
