Ingredients (Makes 4 pies)

1 x pack of Silver Fern Farms beef & Horopito pepper burgers

4 x sheets of puff pastry

4 x cheddar cheese slices

2 x tomato’s

Tomato chutney

Pickles (add as many or as little as you like)

1 x egg

¼ cup of milk


1-Let pastry defrost then cut the sheet in half. Add chutney to the base of the pastry then add your burger Pattie on top, top with cheese, tomato and pickle. Use a lattice cutter if you have one then stretch the pastry over the top of your burger and press down the sides to ensure it doesn’t leek when cooking

2-Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Mix your egg and milk together with a fork then brush your pastry with this golden egg wash. Cook for 30 minutes

3-Remove from the oven and rest for 5 minutes before serving
